How Often Should You Change Your Toothbrush?
Most dentists recommend replacing your toothbrush every 3 to 4 months. Over time, the bristles wear down and become less effective at removing plaque and food particles. Using a frayed toothbrush may leave behind debris, increasing your risk of cavities and gum disease.

Switch Toothbrushes After Getting Sick

Swap Out Your Toothbrush When it Looks Worn

A study from the Department of Public Health in India shows that worn bristles can’t reach between your teeth or clean along the gumline as effectively as they should.
In fact, participants in the study who used their brushes beyond the recommended period had much more plaque buildup than those who switched!
